47 Trees

Immersive Participatory Media Theater

2025 · 60 minutes

47 Trees is a theater project that delves into personal connections between people and trees through documentary storytelling, poetry, music, dance, immersive projections, and audience participation. At its heart are personal stories collected by the creators, who have spoken with friends and acquaintances about the trees that have impacted their lives. The narratives reveal how trees offer beauty, shelter, solace, and nourishment. They evoke cherished memories and connect us to the ever-changing rhythms of nature, from the enchanting blooms of spring to the slow fading of autumn. Ultimately, the performance serves as a reflection on humanity, mirroring our lives in our relationship with trees.
